I thought it was available in Stitch Era, but I may be wrong. Is there a way I can import an image (JPEG for example) and use it as a background so I can trace stitches over it? Right now when I import an image, it ends up on top of everything else, even if it is the first thing on the list. I have to make it very transparent in order to see the stitches, which makes it hard to see if I´ve lined the stitches up accurately, and if I make it opaque, then it covers the stitches.

Can somebody tell me what I´m missing?

After using Stitch Era for awhile, I think my problem is that when I make the background art opaque enough to really see, it comes through the design I´m creating, and makes it hard to match up things like Areas to the shape of the art. I don´t know if there is an answer to this except if the stitches created could be bold enough to keep from being overwhelmed by the art image. Could we have some control over that?

Ken, In the upper right side of your window, there are some controls to lock the artwork(so that it cannot be moved or altered). Have you tried this... at that point it should be behind anything on screen. Also, when I´m tracing on top of artwork, I will change the thread color to a contrasting color so this it´s easier to see and adjust.
