I purchased the Interactive CD and DVD, and they seem to be .avi files that run from Adobe Reader. When I click on a menu, on the CD every entry just gives me an error message that the "file association is not available" On the DVD four of the twenty-two files give the same message. Also, from the start-up screen in Stitch Era Liberty, I cannot access the tutorials or the message board. I get a Windows warning that "Internet Explorer has stopped working". I´m running Windows 7, which Sierra says Stitch Era will run under. The CD and DVD will work on notebooks I have that are running Vista or XP (sp3). The link to Embroidery ABC on the Stitch Era ribbon does work, and is connecting through IE9. Any ideas on this?

Well Jorge in Service worked hard with me today to find the answer to my Internet problem (not being able to get on the Internet from the links on the Stitch Era opening page). He tracked it down to a problem with an anti-virus program, but it was still illusive. It appeared to be something to do with Avast! anti-virus, but attempts to cure that failed. I found I had more than one a-v program running (left over from an attack of a nuisance virus months ago), and it turned out PC Tools Browser Guard was the culprit. I turned that off, and the problem went away. PC Tools Browser Guard seems to be part of Spyware Doctor.

Still have to discover why I can´t run the CD and DVD tutorials successfully.
