Does the dongle need to be in place while the program is running or just when I start th program? I have limited usb ports and disconnect either my headset or my floppy drive to insert this.

Dongle must be in place (USB port) for the program to work. Taking dongle off the port disables the program.

Kate you can get a USB multiple port station at any computer store. You simply plug it in to an existing USB port and you can use multiple USB devices off that one USB port at the same time.

That´s probably my best bet, I´m worried about it hitting things as I move my laptop around, and if there were a cable between the machine and the device I wouldn´t worry so much. Thanks for the idea!
