I answered from our support account. Did you not receive it? Please take a look at the Chapter THREE of our manual. It shows you the adequate tools for this procedure.

I don´t think this was an unreasonable question - there´s no easy way to, say, select more than one successive stitch by using CTRL-arrow keys (that I can see in the manual). Wouldn´t that be nicer than selecting the start/end stitches (which should really be called "select end/start")? Perhaps in the next version... Lynne

Now here is something I can´t quite figure out. When I use the "Select by Rectangle" tool under the Stitch Editing tab, sometimes I can select stitches in all colors, sometimes only stitches of one color are selected, and sometimes no stitches are selected at all. Sometimes after selecting "Select by Rectangle", the program behaves as if I´m using the "Hand" tool to move the image around. Anyone figure out how to get this tool to behave correctly all of the time or at least consistently? (The same problems hold true for the "Select Stitches by Outline" tool). Thanks, Lynne

Lynne, yes, you can select stitches. On the Stitch Editing ribbon, you´ll see a "Select Start & End of Block" icon in the Block Select box. When you select that tool, you´ll be able to click on the first stitch of a block you want to select, then Shift+click on the last stitch of the block.

It´ll highlight the stitches for you, so you can continue choosing a new start by just clicking on another stitch, or a new end by just Shift+clicking on another stitch. When you got it the way you want it, just hit Enter and your block will be selected.

Lynne, when you want to select stitches, make sure you enter Stitch Edit mode by clicking on the Edit Stitches icon (3rd one down on the left toolbar).

The select tools in the Object Edit ribbon and the select tools in the Stitch Edit ribbon each have a different purpose, even though they may look the same.

Of course, if this is something you digitized and have a wireframe for, you DON´T want to edit stitches, you´ll have far more control in the Object Edit mode.

If a single stitch is out of place inside a wireframe, chances are moving nodes will fix it too while retaining the whole file as a wireframe (DSG).
