Personally I find it frustrating that something like this "Mastering Small Lettering" or "Small Lettering Guarantee" as posted and described here is only available for a fee. Melco has fantastic support and a new blog, Pulse has tons of helpful FREE information, tips, designs and all sorts of stuff as do so many of the others. After working with Sierra Liberty for 6 months I have to say, someone dropped the ball. The "live" portion of the software that´s on the home screen when it loads hasn´t even been updated since January 2011. I find the information readily available to be very sketchy to say the least. Wish I had listened and gone with Tajima and Pulse.

This post was mainly to let SEL users know that, should you ever get to the point where you´d like to know what else is available, we do have a full line of commercial software - Embroidery Office.

This software is not for everybody, and it comes with a price tag that compares to some of the other commercial software that was mentioned on this same thread, however it also comes with some benefits that are a necessity in the commercial end. The Small Lettering Guarantee is just one such benefit, albeit not the only one.

I´m not really interested in the "guarantee" as that comes with a price tag, but the article on the lettering, is it something you can share? I have the paid version of design era and it works fine for me and my little home biz. However getting small letters to turn out has been a problem for me. Can you share the info without the guarantee??? thanks

This info may become publicly available early next year, but for the time being is only available to Embroidery Office users.

This is not because of a price or no price issue, however. The article and the accompanying Guarantee apply to a particular set of Fonts optimized for professional results on small lettering jobs. Those specific Fonts, 10 in total, are not part of the standard Fonts in Liberty, so the article wouldn´t do much good without the Fonts to apply it to, with or without guarantee.

I´ve done some research on the small lettering topic and have made some wonderful friends that have shared some great info and lessons with me about the small lettering. I would be happy to share this info and any other info I´ve collected on other topics with anyone that needs it. Just shoot me an e-mail privately at sales@twistedstitches.biz

Happy Stitching!

I´m still interested in the info on small lettering. Again I dont want a guarantee, I´m just trying to learn. I´m still having a hard time with small letters. Using a simple TTF like Helvetica or even the pre done fonts that came with the system. I would really like any info I can get my hands on to help overcome this problem. Thanks

JSHorses, you´ve been courteous while stating your point, so most of this is not directed to you. Others chose a different approach and even compared apples with oranges by throwing names of other commercial programs, ironically enough like our own commercial program the article was originally created for, also at no charge like it was the case for those other commercial programs.

May I recommend Google, great search engine, free to use. i just googled the name of the article, and what do you know, it came out at the top of the results page.

The point that was missed all along by others is that the information is there, yes, but as you´ll learn on the articles, you´re better off in your quest for small lettering success by starting off with a font that was digitized for small lettering in the first place.

Our commercial product has a few such Fonts, but 10 in particular where I´m personally compelled to offer my free time to help out with actual embroidery setup jobs as stated on the Guarantee, should the user not be able to get it to work. Again, that was *free* time, as in no credit card required.

Make sure you look for all 5 parts to the series, I think they only posted one per newsletter with the low resolution pics or no pics, but there´s always a link to hi-res pics.
